I've been running a media center PC for years, and for the past year, it's been the primary content provider in the living room. You'll note that I used lower-case "media center" as I've stayed well clear of Microsoft's product, and have been using Snapstream's Beyond TV software in combination with basic satellite service from DirectTV, and a Firefly remote (which, unfortunately, does not seem to be widely available anymore).

The reaction on the internet to Apple's "latest creation" seems to be tepid at best. In short, folks were expecting the second coming of the "jesus phone" and instead, they got the iPod Touch, super-sized. I've been considering the purchase of some form of light-weight, internet-capable device with a decent sized screen, but the iPhone OS is just too locked-down for my tastes. The fact that it still can't do multitasking is just plain annoying. It feels like they rushed this product to market, and I can't imagine many folks will buy into this, especially if they just bought a 3GS iPhone.

This is a chilling article about how easily carelessness can expose companies that think they are secure. After reading this article, I went into my own Gmail account and did a search for some of my commonly used passwords. Are you keeping old emails with passwords that are still in use, thinking that no one will ever see these emails?
